There Will Be Blood

April 25, 2008

Last night I had the privilege of watching “There Will Be Blood”. I have to say, I am kicking myself for not going to this at the cinema. Daniel Day-Lewis deserved ever accolade he received for this film.

If you aren’t familiar, it is a movie about a greedy oil tycoon in the 1920s. The underlying theme of the movie is about selling yourself out to things that don’t deliver.

Other stuff:

The cinematography in the movie will blow your mind. From the color, the grain and the composition, it is thoroughly enjoyable. Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead composed the soundtrack for the film. It really added a lot of intensity and interest.

A few screen shots:

  1. This movie was amazing. What did you think about the original score written and performed by Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead??

  2. like I said, loved it! I really liked how there were a lot of parts during the movie with no music going on as well. They made great use of silence.

  3. woops… i think i need to learn to read more closely. I tend to “scan”.

  4. it’s ok! I do the same thing
